My thoughts
Both of these were divine. I chose the Double Chocolate Protein cookie and the chocolate protein brownie – admittedly they tasted pretty similar, but as they are both chocolate products from the same company, I’m sure many ingredients crossed over.
Firstly, let’s discuss the high protein cookie – It’s not the same as your average shop bought tough cookie, in fact, it has a slightly more cakey texture to it, a bit like what you’d expect from a cookie that’s just come straight out of the oven.
I didn’t try to microwave it, but maybe if you did it would be very similar?
We ate it as a mid afternoon snack and it kept me full until dinner – which being the hungry hippo I am, was pretty beneficial. Will definitely be trying this again, but first I want to try the protein cookie mix and see if I can bake my own instead.
Next, the protein brownie.
I definitely preferred this over the cookie, they were both good, but there was something about this that made it better, maybe it was that the chocolate chunks were more prominent, or that the texture was so mouthwateringly divine. I’m not sure, all I can say is that they tasted like heaven had just dropped it straight on my plate.
I’ve had these twice now – once straight out of the packet, because – sometimes you just can’t wait for food and the second time I microwaved it for around 20 seconds. You have to try it, get some ice-cream to if you can, (I forgot).
Both of these products were thoroughly enjoyed but can be slightly costly in comparison to standard non-protein products. But, why the heck would you want just a plate full of sugar and no protein?
